“My career began as a traditional midwife in the 1970s and I started practicing as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) after graduating from the University of California San Francisco in 1993. With over 40 years of experience in the field of midwifery I have had the privilege of assisting in the deliveries of over 3,500 babies! I’ve worked as a CNM in client homes in underserved, rural areas of South Carolina for the National Health Service Corps, in a private OB/GYN office in Wilmington, North Carolina and in a Naval Hospital at Camp LeJeune shortly after 9/11 to support our troops and their families."
“I strongly support a woman’s natural passages through life. It is my intention to embody the midwifery model of care for women in all stages of life from birth through death, including primary health and gynecological care. Homebirth is and has always been my passion. I’m committed to providing this option for the southeast North Carolina community of women and their families.”
